Common Quesions Regarding Bird Collisions With Glass Windows

Bird Stikes & Common Questions

Why do birds run into windows?

Birds do not perceive windows as we do and thereby recognize window reflections as natural habitats and attempt to fly through glazing, injuring themself and, worst, die as a result.

Best tips on how to stop birds from flying into windows?

1. Apply Bird Strike Window Film to the exterior portion of the window. This film is applied the same way window tint is installed; however, it's adhered outside the window

2. Add Tape Strips or Collision Stickers such as decals or other stickers spaced 4 inches apart vertically and 2 inches appart horizontally.

3. Install external sun screens or Awnings

4. Consider moving Bird Feeders and or Bird Baths to a New Location

Do decals stop birds from hitting windows?

Yes, window decals can help. However, it's essential to understand the window decals must be spaced no more than 2 inches horizontally and 4 inches vertically. Studies have proven that this is the best spacing ratio to prevent bird strikes.

What Bird Strike Window Film Warranty?

Our window film comes with a 3-year warranty on the deterioration of the film. The film is backed by our Bird Strike Prevention Warranty when properly installed. We guarantee it will prevent bird strikes on the glazing where the film has been applied. While we recommend professional installation, the film is a DIY solution.
